The principles and methods employed in making our produce promote practices which co exist with the principles of biodynamic farming- principles that do not damage the envoirment; give due respect to the countryside; concern for animal welfare and the production of high quality dairy products.
All our products are packed in glass jars. You, as the environmentally aware, can purchase these fine products and be assured that you are not damaging the environment. We encourage all our customers to reuse our jars for preserves, decorate them with paints and use them as candy jars for that personal gift!!!!!!!!!
The beneficial probiotic culture, lactobacillus acidophilus, is present in our yogurts. This friendly bacteria encourages the normal, beneficial flora, while it hinders the harmful one, the putrefactive type, in it's development. That is the reason why yogurt is highly
recommended for the care of the intestine.
All of our grasslands are rich in clover and so many herbs that it gives a truly lush, soft and floral flavour to the milk and this contributes to the rich texture and flavour of these artisan farmhouse products.
The varity of herbs, clovers and grasses that our cows have access to attribute to the many health benefits associated with organic dairy produce. The recent findings of the EUs QualityLowInputFood (QLIF) project shows
organically produced vegetables and dairy milk usually contain more beneficial compounds- such as vitamins and antioxidants- than conventional produce.
All herbs and rennet used in our cheese making are organic and vegetarian. Our products are free from any preservatives and artificial colours of any kind.....just pure fresh organic milk. They are a truly a guilt free indulgence.
