About Organic

Organic farming is about bringing nature and only nature, from the earth in to the produce on the family table.

The principles and methods applied in organic farming promote practices which co exist with natural systems and help protect and enhance the environment. There is greater emphasis on animal well being and welfare. It is therefore conceivable that animals who are contented and in a stress free environment pass good energy through their milk to the consumer. The dairy herd of Friesian, Ayrshire and Friesian/Ayrshire X are treated with herbal remedies, as are all the calves, on the rare occasion when they might be unwell. There is a total ban on any form of artificial fertilisers and pesticides being used on our farm.

We are members of I.O.F.G.A which stands for Irish Farmers and Organic Growers Association.
